Maritime Physician Recruitment Initiative

In 2003 PARI-MP initiated a resident driven recruitment strategy called the Maritime Physician Recruitment Initiative (MPRI). The main focus of MPRI is to assist in the recruitment and retention of Maritime trained physicians for Maritime communities.

This project provides a confidential means for residents and communities to interact with each other, with the goal of increasing the number of physicians in the Maritimes and facilitating the employment process for residents. It is an opportunity for communities to reach residents while they are still in training. The purpose is to help forge relationships that will ensure serious consideration of employment options and personal satisfaction in local communities.
